Visage Mobility Connect Enables Smarter Deployment of Bring Your Own Device Strategies

Supporting the growing number and increasing diversity of mobile devices used for work is particularly challenging for I&O executives. According to Forrester (News - Alert), bring your own device (BYOD) is now the norm in workplaces, and 48 percent of employees choose their phone without even considering what their company supports.

Visage, the Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution, recently released the first bring your own device mobility expense management solution with tight integration with the Concur T&E Cloud.

Concur is a provider of integrated travel and expense management solutions. Its easy-to-use Web-based and mobile solutions help companies and their employees control costs and save time. Concur Connect is the platform that enables the entire travel and expense ecosystem of customers, suppliers and solution partners to access and extend Concur’s T&E Cloud. The ecosystem in and around the Concur T&E Cloud is expanding, with innovative apps being built by customers and solution providers, plus an ever growing network of travel suppliers.

“Organizations have found it nearly impossible to understand the true cost of their mobile strategies - especially BYOD programs,” said Jim Kiles, vice president, Business Development, Visage. “With Visage Mobility Connect, we look forward to working with Concur to help enterprises solve this growing and significant mobility management challenge.”

Initially announced in May 2012, the now-available Visage/Concur integration, dubbed Visage Mobility Connect, provides the first-ever combined visibility into a company’s entire mobile spend whether paid by the employee or the company – enabling smarter deployment of BYOD strategies in the enterprise. Companies are now able to accurately track employee paid phone bills and company paid phone bills all with ease in one place.

“This is a critical and in-demand addition to our T&E Cloud that allows our clients to take control of their mobility spend. You can’t manage what you can’t see – and now with Visage Mobility Connect our clients can have visibility into their BYOD and corporate mobile spending to optimize their mobility program,” said Barry Padgett, executive vice president, Concur Traveler Services, in a statement.
