In order to expand its security portfolio, Dell has signed an agreement to acquire Credant Technologies (News - Alert), a provider of data protection solutions to control, manage and secure data sent from endpoints to servers, storage and the cloud.
This acquisition makes Dell's (News
- Alert) computing solutions even stronger and improves the manageability, reliability and security engineered into its enterprise computing portfolio. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
