Ovum Reveals 70 Percent of Employees apply BYOD without IT Consent
While most companies see bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies as being part of their organization, it has not been fully adopted. Companies around the world are evaluating the security risks against many of the benefits BYOD provides. A new survey by Ovum has revealed, 70 percent of the 4,371 employees it surveyed have implemented their own BYOD policy without informing the IT department, and in some cases, while there was a clear ban on personal devices.
